Wouldn't say I'm a Legend fan, as some of his earlier antics haven't worked for me - but as the series has gone on, and clearly as he has grown into the character, he's become funnier and less samey. I'd quite like to hear more from the gladiators, feels like their interviews are often cut down in the edit to the point it sometimes feels a bit disjointed.
The hosting has got worse though, Barney's attempts at comedy japes with his dad are excruciating, and his interviews are beyond banal - "You made it up the wall!" - well, quite. I really hope that line up is changed for any future series.

Enjoyed tonight. Legend proper made me laugh a couple of times.
Yup, exactly as I'd hoped, he's really growing into the heel persona. It's not as easy to do as probably some people think, but I think heels definitely have more fun.
It's nice to see Sabre getting to be a bit of a mean girl, too, and Betti actually trying to attack (a bit) in duel.

Excellent ladies' semi-final with a War of the Roses (white rose beats red rose in Sheffield).
I don't think that Betti actually kicked Dynamite in the face but she certainly planted her foot into the gladiator's neck to get her away. Glad that Dynamite persisted and got Betti off The Wall.
Pity Dev had to withdraw but glad that the next best quarter-finalist (Jake) replaced him rather than bringing in someone fresh. With that long-range effort in Powerball (which even the scorer gave as valid) and I thought was OK, it was shame that Finlay's score didn't count.
Reducing Gauntlet to 20 seconds is much better but the contenders still get through. Must have heard me regarding The Edge by reducing a crossing to 2 points (maximum of 10 points). A mistimed tackle by a gladiator gifting 18 points is unfair on the other contender.
Locker Room showed Comet with crutches although I don't believe that her injury was ever mentioned. At least we got to see how Sabre sustained her hamstring injury.

Four really good Duels with Betti actually standing up and making a match out of it. I can't remember who is in the other semi-final but both of SF1 would have been excellent finals.
As you guys have said, Legend is starting to be a bit more interesting as a heel. To begin with, it was a bit dull, a bit 'same old' but Saturday's remarks about the five I's and celebrating losers was quite good.
Do we know what the prizes are for the finalists? My fading memory recalls something like £10k for the winners and £2k for the runners-up back in the 1990's. I guess we will find out in three weeks' time after SF2 is eventually aired after a week off for the FA Cup.

Surprised to see Sabre after injuring her hamstring in the first semi-final. Didn't really perform well on The Edge and I wonder whether that injury was still on her mind.
Gauntlet still predictable as usual. Bounce of the gladiator, spin the opposite way and get through. The women's event was a bit different - one easy and one harder. Electro didn't even touch the first contender yet gave the second a huge hit.
I'll say no more other than both eliminators were worth waiting for.
