Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Stupid hilly, icy and windy place for a run, JRitchie. It makes me feel well'ard though.

IIRC someone has Google streetviewed* on a trail out of central Nuuk into the sourrounding countryside. From what I could see, it gets very remote very quickly.

There are rocky bits like that all over Nuuk. Because it is so hilly, there are big mountainy bits (not all that high but not easy to clamber over, especially in winter) in between many of the cul de sacs. The two larger loops on the north east of your map, McGoo, are trails but otherwise, the roads are all paved and they are extremely well serviced with snow-clearning in the winter. There are no roads OUT of town though. You have to fly, boat or ski.

I’ve caught up on those blogs. Thanks for (re)posting ITG. Looks beautiful and harsh in equal measure.

I've just re-caught up on those - I'd missed a couple of them first time round. I love those picnic benches in the snow!

Sushi.
I've never been the first to explore a zone before but today I was.

Just the one in the middle. The others had been visited before. It wasn't the swim it looks like either.

It was a guided walk at low tide avoiding the sinking sands.
