ChrisHB, in regard to zone values, to me it makes sense for ownership but not exploring. If I step outside my front door I am in a zone where the current leader is on 176 points and I am on 78. If I run two zones west, I am in a zone I own with 36 points and 2nd place is on 10.
I "own" the whole of the Chilterns with the exception of one zone where I am tied with dibble on 12 each but do not own my home square.
The value should reflect the competition so if you wander across Bulgaria forest and get to own 10 squares they do not count as much as central London.

I disagree! Leave it as it is. If some of us can be arsed running through some of the most inhospitable places on the planet, I reckon we deserve the easy points. They only last a year anyway.

Of course it should be left as it is! Let the individual have pride in owning Soho or having explored the Mojave Desert. If they want.

I think I am with ITG - but I don't really play competitively I admit. I own my home zones with hefty points because I run from home at least 3 times a week, not because there are lots of Fetchies up here. I am prouder of the zones I have been the first to claim.

I only like to have been where i have been.... it's not about ownership to me.
Except when i own them, then it might be a little bit, but it never lasts!
I just like having more of the map covered and adding to my number of zones conquered.

I've just taken control of 19 previously unexplored zones in Finland.
Easy pickings maybe, but I had to face temperatures of -30C to get them.
