When it wakes, the main part of the app can just grab the updated version of the trace and update stats etc. The examples I've found are either in Java, or they feel unnecessarily convoluted. Either that or I just don't understand. Which is also quite likely.

GPL so code is there to see what is going on. If it's a Fetch app you are developing, you could just fork it, bolt on the auto-upload which would be easy enough...
