Ooh Sharkie - I like that!
Is contacting Fetch about a name the equivalent of putting a card through the door- I want to buy your house? Or is it just a bit weird?

Don't anyone would nick my normal Fetch name.
I seem to recall Fetch had to recover a name a couple of years back for a long standing Fetchie that had theirs nicked.

I seriously doubt that anyone would come up with my name by chance.

It was Nellers who had his name nicked I seem to recall. Put me right off changing mine.

Is contacting Fetch about a name the equivalent of putting a card through the door- I want to buy your house? Or is it just a bit weird? It's somebody who happens to know Fetch personally - I think the conversation was along the lines of 'does the bloke with the name I want use the site a lot, and if not, any chance of asking if I could have the name?' I just think it's funny, but I'm not going to leave it available.

Whoops, the italics were meant to end after 'weird?'

It's shocking that people would steal names.
Never catch me doing anything of the sort

SarahL once had her name "stolen" maliciously. She dealt with it stylishly by slipping into another name and declaring it very comfortable, and I believe Fetch dealt with it quietly and assertively and order was soon restored.
