I would like to know how the elites do it as well. A particularly unpleasant colleague said to me after the Rotterdam Marathon 2007 (32 degrees) 'Heat doesn't make a difference to your time, cos the elites finish in the same time as usual' I didn't really have an answer other than, 'well they train in heat, and also they are out in the heat for half the time!'

Vicksta the elites were slower than normal. Last year in the heat I think the winning woman did 2.33! And this year it was 2.27. Slow by elite womens standards. Tell your colleague that (just before you punch them!!!)
