I used to look at chessgames.com puzzles a few years back and they have days where it will be easy and others where it's harder (want to say it gets harder progressively over the week but might be misremembering).

Just went on there and I did remember correctly. Monday is "very basic", Sunday is "almost impossible"

About puzzles: chessgames.com There's a link to embed the puzzle there. I wonder if that could work here somehow.

Today's puzzle can be seen on the homepage: chessgames.com

I used to do chessgames.com but rarely look at it now. The weekly progression is a good feature but I've got enough chess on my plate!

Lol, yes back then I didn't really play online (the odd game on Yahoo chess but not consistently).

Here’s one from a recent game:

Why was my last move 22. h6 a mistake & how should white take advantage?

Does Nxf7 followed by Qh5+ work? I can’t see a follow up though apart from getting the piece back.

Yes spot on, turns a -1 into a +1. Simple tactic which opp missed & regretted after, as if it had been a winning manoeuvre. It probably was at Brian level, wasted on me as I was oblivious to it.

Zero chance of me seeing it without you telling me to look for it.

After the Nc5, the one on c6 looks under pressure and the b5 pawn too..
