Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Please share the model, Hanneke! I think ours is supposed be a pet one (I bought it because it was purple & green) but it's about 15 years old and the suction isn't great.

We have a Dyson cordless - even using it (nearly) every day I'm astonished at how much comes up. OH uses one of those scrapers on the sofa & chairs.

Yesterday I heard a loud miaow - it sounded like Ellie but she was asleep in her cat tree, so I thought it must be a strange cat because Caspar has never miaowed.

Until then! He was in the bedroom with a pipe cleaner he'd brought in from outside (they love playing with them) and looking very pleased with himself.

After being silent for the first two years of his life (apart from squeaks when he gets excited about something) this is going to take some getting used to - assuming it wasn't a one-off.

Thanks for the hoover recommendations, all.

Moon has developed a new miaow: "Honey-glazed ham, NOW!"
