When we did start letting her out it was on a lead so she got used to being out there with us. Now, despite only having a small garden, she shows no interest in leaving it whatsoever which is a huge relief (the dog next door helped on the one occasion she did make it over the fence!). The first cat we had made it onto the shed roof on his first time in the garden which made us very nervous.
