A few days ago - Ellie happy at the end of the bed then Kyri jumps up

She scarpers...

Those eyes are evil!

We raised a glass to Pablo earlier - he left our lives four years ago today, having been with us since August 2004.

Marco looks so cosy. Sorry about the poop.

Kyri would scare me off the bed with that look.

One of the highlights of our trip to Malta was the Starbucks cat which the kids thought was the Franchise owner

Kyri looks sad to me :(

Does anyone know why cats cry randomly (or it appears random)?

Gizmo has two occasions at the moment where he will cry really loudly and mournfully almost. I can hear him over the TV in the living room he's that loud. He's in the same place both times - up on the landing. But he'll cry when he goes up there at tea-time, just after face-filling, and he also does it when I am going to bed and in my room. Initially I thought it was because he couldn't see me, but when I am on the bed he can see me and still does it.

Even if I fuss him he cries, but I don't know what he wants. Any ideas? Or is it just "I'm announcing my presence"?

A good year before he passed Karma jumped on the bed and came right up to my face and let out and almost blood curdling wail.

One of ours does that. It seems to happen when she’s alone in some other room where we aren’t. We imagine that she’s lost or lonely but no idea really what it means.

One of ours howls occasionally, generally (we think) because she wants our attention or is hungry. I have heard of older cats being more vocal.
