My mate puts the food that stays out all day in a kitchen cupboard with a collar/ chip activated catflap on door... that way her chunky one only gets his and the grazer can graze all day.

Love the idea of a chip operated catflap cupboard!
That has made my day.

I would probably say no.

We foster kittens only (up to a year or so perhaps), we have our own adults and experience has shown more adults often causes stress and unhappiness. Other fosterers take adults only, for their own reasons. Do what you’re comfortable with, there’s never a shortage of cats to rescue round here and we just can’t help them all.

Big floofy Zach definitely has some Norwegian forest cat in him, SallyK. His glare contains some “really?!” as we’re often sneaking up on him to check his backside! No wonder he’s started waving his tail proudly 🤭

Ally-C, I’ve not been involved in getting him to the vet, and don’t know what they charge (an arm and a leg for sure in Norway), but believe getting him in the carrier is the biggest challenge. For a cat that clearly loves his food, he can’t be enticed with it!

I’m gonnae have to go to the vet and speak about getting Karma sedated & shaved I reckon. He’s full of huge clumps & has a bald patch now on his front where he pulled his hair out.

The big question is will he survive sedation? 🥲
