Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes. Catfood in bins with no open windows gets a real whiff to it too

Yes, that may well be the problem 🤞

I am still pondering how to stop my neighbours toms. Thing is, if I "forced" them to spay their cats, all 6 of them, 2 owners, it would not work as spraying is well established!

I found this link but not sure how helpful it is for either of us!

But it does look as though female cats spray.

Interesting CK2! I was unaware of female spraying.
I suspect that is what your mum's are doing and should stop once they are settled.

I wonder if I could employ lion dung to ward off the six toms...

We moved three cats from a flat where they had outdoor access to a flat where they were inside all the time. I personally didn't notice any smell at all from having them indoors. Two toms, one female, all neutered.

Years ago I used to get visited by a neighbour's tom cat who sprayed bloody everywhere. Absolutely stank and it also stains really badly if you don't wash it straight away. So glad for the chip controlled cat flap now :-)

I grew up with unneutered toms, it is such a very distinctive and pervasive smell.

We had another rabbit today, it's becoming a weekly occurrence!
