I'm still thinking about how he got there - I assume a jump then climbing up the coats and how did he discover it was a thing to do!?

Arthur is proving good at jumping. I normally eat my breakfast cereal in my upstairs home office, then put the bowl, with some milk remaining in it, on the landing to wait for the next time someone goes downstairs. Obviously that isn't an option now, so I have been putting it on the windowsill above the stairs. This morning Arthur saw me do that, and he was straight up there, face ready to dive in. 🙄 We've also had to deploy a makeshift cloche, an upside-down mixing bowl, over any food left on the kitchen counter. I don't think having an old, blind cat really prepared us for this new voyage of discovery...

I am far too fussy and none of my cats ever went on worktops in kitchen.Little Tintin will be trained to do the same.

WP ours are sneaky - we never see them on the sides but I know they go on there from the nose smudges on the kitchen window! They never fuss when we eat just ignore us and I never get bothered cooking either

Hmm. Not sure how you train a grown cat not to go on surfaces. I imagine you can do it from kittenhood. Arthur follows every footstep we make in the kitchen, too. With big hungry eyes.
