Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There appear to have been some good results there - especially Doc's 1:41 ;-)

As badger said, I only really noticed the wind coming over the Elizabeth Way bridge around the 20km mark. It was starting to pick up by then, so it may have been more of a factor for later finishers. Cold hanging round at the start and wet underfoot, but pretty ideal weather for running once you got going.

I don't recall the wind .... It must have been because I was running so fast 😂

There's been such a positive build up to this event in this thread - and it's great to see so many 'smiling face' times in what would seem to have been 'challenging' conditions.

Well done, all :)

for those of us nearer the back, the wind hit whilst coming down Silver Street - it was horrible between Laundress Lane and the piper

It most certainly was HB
(mind you the piper wasn't much fun either ;) )

2:24: 55, happy with a small improvement over the autumn ones, but about 3 minutes slower than I was secretly aiming for.

Got elbowed in the face twice and pushed almost into oncoming traffic once. I think they've stretched the safe and comfortable numbers for the race just over the limit.

Oh and only two 2 buses on the Trumpington loop - when they knew how many tickets they'd sold and had a full carpark is ridiculous.

We waited over half an hour from when a full bus left to one getting back for us. People behind me in the queue must have had a real dash for the start.
Coming back was a little better, but leaving tired runners waiting for buses in the cold isn't ideal.

Glad I took my bike Rosehip. It was almost 4 miles along the busway but very quiet. Wind behind going in and in my face on the way back to make sure I got some proper stretching in my legs.

Anybody managed to get photos off the results page yet? I'm probably expecting too much.

yes - it posts a link onto your facebook page. Not sure what happens if you don't have one.

Don't hold your breath though, they're not um, very good.
