I think your IT dept is very enlightened, realising that all technical work takes twice as long as predicted.

IT issues at school (Microsoft 365, unsurprisingly)
‘Please bear with us as our skeleton staff work with our IT company and their skeleton staff to fix the problems’
Sounds like a Funnybones storyline :)

We have our first bit of mandatory online training to do since lockdown. Four things actually.

First issue - the first of the four is listed as mandatory face to face training. Er... okay. What 400 people skyping in one after the other?

But the odder issue is that you have to select your business department from a dropdown. There is no IT. It's like they didn't expect IT to have to take this training. The 'Other' dropdown leads to a further dropdown with only one option: "Material risk taker - Head of IT" so I think we'll all put that

[ careful McG ... the next course may be 'updating your CV', where IT is the only drop down option. ]
