Fizz :-)
We were asked to suggest a name for our intranet - I went for "The Intranet" but it didn't make the shortlist!

One place I worked, the intranet was called Inside, which I didn't think was too bad a name.

We once had a competition to name the CEO's blog. At that time, their surname was 'Ring' so I suggested Ring Piece, but sadly this wasn't the winner for some reason.

CEO's blogs were such a bad idea (they start out with good intentions but within a few months the CEO's PA is appearing in the Comms office once a week with a print out of the boss's diary, asking someone else to write the blog) but naming them is simple. They should all be called 'boss blog'.

[Our CEO does a great update note periodically. But it isn't a blog or a musing. He is a really good communicator anyway, in person, in presentations and in writing.

We named our project room (just a meeting room, but booked out for the last few months of the project as it went live, where we had lots of info up on walls n stuff). I had always known a busy room for a project go live as a "War Room". But that name was taken down off the wall as apparently it wasn't PC. So we had a competition to name it with another TLA (Three Letter Abbreviation) to fit in same space. Chaos ensued...] :-) G

We have an R POC group which have just finished their "POC". I suggested the follow up be called R Soul. It took a while for the penny to drop.
