I love this race.
I was always sceptical about the cost and people getting overly sentimental about "atmosphere", until I did it, and both times I have practically been crying on the Tyne bridge and as the red arrows pass near the end. Why I have no idea. It's great and the support is fabulous.

a lot of folks are anti-GNR for some reason, yet big fans of the London marathon! Same sort of thing, mass participation, televised and a household name. I think it's great and everyone should do it!

ooooh ndellar i teared up reading that about the red arrows i will most definately get very emotional when they flyover - so excited now!! will look out for you Ha ha i will be in mr men (children with leukeamia vest) and luminous green tutu haha but only so my family can try and spot me amongst the masses!!!:)
