Yeah, 2:28 is a big jump from the last 2 years. Over 4500 didn't make it out of 28,000+ qualifiers.

Yeah, the hotels are ridiculous. We've looked at AirBnB etc to try and get an apartment.
In the end, the OH said just book something so we are staying at the fairfieldbostoncambridge for the marathon days. We staying out for the rest of the week after the marathon so will get something cheaper, depending on where we end up exploring.
We also have friends coming out for the week to spectate and join us on the trip and they have been looking at places 5-10 miles away from the course, let alone Boston itself and they are still silly money.

less than four weeks now! how's everyone doing? Esta sorted and looking at what else to do there. Guess I will spend most of Sunday at the expo collecting my number.

Planning to do Esta at the weekend and sort out somewhere to eat on Sunday. Got some tickets to see the Red Sox on the Saturday. We're going out on the Friday so hope to do the expo Friday evening if we have enough time else early Saturday.
Training not going too bad. Just need some good weather now. Not sure I'm going to enjoy the early start to get to the Athlete's Village.
