β€˜Macaroni cheese pie’ sounds like it should be on Urban Dictionary describing the result of a dubious sex act. I’ll stick to bacon butties

If I did endurance challenges that included sleep restriction, macaroni pies would be high on my list of things I'd be likely to want to eat. I'm with the raptor on this one. Pie and Macaroni together is definitely two big positives for the price of one in my book πŸ˜€

God help me. And I thought quite highly of you both until now πŸ™‚

Birkett's macaroni cheese pies were one of the finest foods in the lake district, until Greggs spoiled things.

He's now ordering up fish and chips in Rydal. Looks like the stomach is behaving 😊 hope that passes the NE test of reasonable food? 🀣

Fish n chips isn't something I think I'd want, certainly not the batter. I remember running through Scarborough after just 10 miles and the smell of doughnuts and chippies was not appealing at all.

That said, the fish n chips (and mushy peas?) was something I remember watching the video of Nicky Spinks Double BG.

I went into Fleet Moss checkpoint on the Fellsman on Saturday evening and was greeted by the smell of fresh fish and chips. I was seriously disappointed to discover that was the CP crew's tea not the competitors food.

I think it depends on how long you've been out there and the intensity level you're operating at. Despite JK's relentless progress the intensity level (for him at least) is pretty low.

Hardmoors 30 goes through Whitby a bit after half way. Fish and chips are very tempting, until you remember the Abbey Steps :-O
