Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Not sure what it's doing in the Lakes but in the Cheviots we had a blizzard from around 5 to 7 and since then it's been hammering it down with rain. Not currently forecast to stop until tomorrow lunchtime.

50mph wind carrying snow straight from the north til about 2 in the morning, last time I looked.
Can’t say the trek along High Street etc sounds much fun tonight.

Doesn't sound nice out there.
Tom's just lost an hour against his schedule over the last 3 hills - what was down as 1:36 from Shipman Knotts to Grey Crag has taken 2:36

that probably explains why Tom lost time from Shipman Knotts... I'm happy to be snuggled up warm at home!

Tom seems to have bailed to Mardale Head about 1am because of conditions on the tops. Soft snow was making for very slow progress. Plan seems to be to then restart from there this morning. That's going to possibly put James ahead on the ground or certainly them very close together based on the timings I'm seeing.

Not sure what's going on but Tom's tracker is now heading away from Mardale Head on the road?? (It was previously stuck where he'd have lost signal, not where he stopped). Either the tracker has been left with the crew or he's stopped the attempt?
