It’s a tricky ascent/descent (in the wet) we really struggled as visibility was poor and the rock was wet. We recognised that we’d drifted a bit too.

It looks like the 'double' BG came to a stop just after summiting Seat Sandal after 24 hours on the return leg to Keswick. From the descriptions of the weather in the Lakes this weekend I guess that's no great surprise.

Just doing some research into the Robinson descent and came across this gem “it took all three pacers to almost manhandle me down the small rocky steps off Robinson”

There’s probably been a few rounds like that! The Price Drop is a much easier route.

The Bowland Bypass is your friend. Just don’t drink any of Ian’s briney coke

Both the Price Drop and Bowland Bypass are very worthy options
I once did a Leg 5 support for a really nice guy who came down from Scotland and was doing the BGR on-sight, he was an eminent climber and also around 6ft 5" tall, he literally ran down the crags on the nose of Robinson, never mind trying sneaky ways around it. I caught him on High Snab though

BTW, for those you haven't already seen it on FB the stats for Paul's 2500s Round are 117.77 miles, 45,977ft of climb in 47:35:38. That's a lot of climb.
