Can't wait for full metrication.
Should be #1 policy for any political party.
The foot is a completely stupid unit! (As are all imperial units!)

2500' is accurate to 6", 762m is only accurate to 19.6". Rubbish metric system.

Well said, NE. Hills should be measured in feet. Leave measuring in metres to mountains.

I spent 25 yrs in a lab working in metric mg and g, but in my kitchen it's ounces and lbs all the way!
On the hills its miles and feet!

Your foot is accurate only to 6", Christy?
Mine is 43.5cm (+/-0.1cm...)

Also as we are talking round numbers as they are more satisfactory, it wouldn't be long before they became the Lakes 750m and let all sorts of riff-raff's join the club.

Nope, all races measure in km and m these days, RH.
Orienteering has been km/m for decades.
Rightly so

Anyway, back to tonight's action
Has anyone spotted that after the next road crossing, Sabrina's schedule does the next 4 hills in a different order from Paul. Her route is shorter ( avoiding 2 out'n'backs ) but a large drop and re-climb.
At this stage of the game are you better doing shorter distance and more climbing, or vice-versa ? Personally I'd go for less climbing, but suppose it depends on where your strengths lie.
