Wow! That's impressive but at the same time shows how good Jasmin's time was. Of the three rounds I think the Ramsay is the ultimate test, I would love to see Killian have a go at it. It doesn't have the history of the Bob but as a mountain challenge I think it is the best of the three. NE, I look forward to that beer. Great that you were both involved with such a quick time. Hope you both recover well. |

Also seen elsewhere that Jasmin ran support on the last leg which says so much

Utter class. Support others to achieve their goals is what it is about.

I read the two articles in the recentish Fellrunner about the Frog Graham - very inspiring. It wouldn’t be quick (is doggie paddle allowed NE?) but I’d love to have a pop when I’m back out in the hill properly

There's no time limit mate. Slowest round is currently 25 hours, I think you would do considerably better than that. Any kind of stroke is allowed, as are buoyancy aids (pull buoys etc). About the only things we don't allow are hand paddles or fins, the playing field has to be more or less level. You can also have someone in the water with you, either swimming or in a kayak/on a paddleboard, this is probably the biggest element of "support" of the FGR, as it makes a huge difference if someone is doing the sighting for you. Nearly everyone who does the FGR has someone with them nowadays, I've had very few registrations where the contender swam the lakes alone. There have been 9 successful rounds in the past two weeks, including one very fast (as yet unregistered) ladies round. If confirmed, it would be a new FKT by a good margin. I'm waiting for her to get in touch .... |

Thanks for that mate. Something to be thinking about . . .
