Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

So apart from legs 1, 2, 3 and the climb up Yewbastard it's a good route?

Here's an idea for a new version of it.

Start at the top of Blencathra. Descend to Scafell, then descend off Scafell to Yewbarrow summit. Leg 4 to Grey Knotts, descend directly to Dale Head then do the last couple of peaks before finishing with a descent to the Dog and Gun in the Newlands Valley.

It's a reasonable day out that dave.

Is it wrong that I rather enjoy the descent off skidded over hare crag?

Is it wrong that I thought it not at all surprising that a Bob Graham completer might rather enjoy a skidded descent? ;)

Gromit, d'you want company for your on-the-ground look at Leg 1? I'd be well up for doing that.
