Hills do exist, but they're just flat bits with additional elevation...and should be treated as such. The method is exactly the same, ie putting one foot in front of the other, so what's all the fuss about?

el Bee! on the other hand may, or may not be a total fabrication. It is rumoured though, that if you say his name three times, he will appear and that every time someone says he doesn't exist, a shoe fairy dies...

I've met somebody who at the very least claims to be el bee - twice

BTW the hill on mile 11-12 is nowhere near as bad as the 12-13 job they did last year. On the whole I think the course is relatively flat and fast.
