Not had any respite for 3 weeks as Andre's normal carer is sick and don't trust the agency to send a responsible person that suitable for Andre's needs. I not being fussy, just had bad experience in the past. His going out with my carers mum tomorrow so that I can go to Halstead marathon and support my friends.

His school put up and advert in Andre's school for a carer and I got 3 offers. One is Mary that's taking Andre out tomorrow 😀

hopefully Tracey, you'll get to sort it out - Joe's off to stay at an outward bound centre, near to us - he went last year for an over night and loved it. This time its for 3 nights so the house will feel strange without him - Joe's school build up to a week away, when they take the kids to wales.

you wonder how the kids and Joe will get on, but they have a tendency to surprise you. I was thinking about Joe's cinema visit yesterday, it was fairly busy - we've managed to avoid busy showings before - but I think it was good for Joe as he has to learn *rules*.

anyway I'll nip and have a look at Anj's link

Sam came back from respite this afternoon after two days away. They had to visit the supermarket to get him some more "Frijj" as he glugged his supply down really quick.

And some child was screaming, so Sam decided to resolve the situation by lamping him. Oh dear.

JB - Andre was in a playground on a campsite and this little kid kept pushing Andre. Andre finally had enough a pushed the kid over. A young lad told me it wasn't Andre's fault.

Sadly big bird has really got into trouble at school in years gone by, he has been so violent that it made me fear he'd be locked up - he just does not know when to stop.... He has in the past kicked me so hard I have slid one end of the house to the other. We have had to work so hard on his temper that he's actually gone the other way now and hardly comes out of his room.

Sounds familiar. My oldest lass once trashed a classroom because one of the kids who sat at the same table as she did had a repetitive sniffing tic that did her head in, and my son was inclined to take the responsibility of disciplining out-of-order classmates upon himself when he didn't think the teachers were doing enough to deal with the situation.

I didn't laugh, though. It's one of those areas where accepting that "It's just him," wasn't an option. I was absolutely uncompromising with the lad, using the ultimate thread of turfing him out as soon as it was legal because I wasn't prepared to live under the same roof as a violent man.

He's hypersensitive to light touch, and a lot of his college classmates are inclined to be a bit hands-on (many have visual problems, Down's syndrome or quite complex physical and learning disabilities), and he tells me that his standard response is, "In a parallel universe I've just broken your arm."

Shel's never been violent, at least not to others. She's self harmed and attempted suicide. We laugh at least a little about her last attempt which was over 15 yers ago. Her meticulous planning was undone by our sons aching Neurotypicality. He forgot his PE kit and ran back home from the bus stop to get it. He effectively saved his Mums life. And her response was to tell him off for being so disorganised....
