Is TRO around? That does sound a lot of running. On the other hand, I tend to trust Gobi to know what he's doing (poor sod has been my go to guy for advice/mentoring for years - he must have been evil in a previous incarnation).

Running that long is, IMO, a risk/reward decision. Running long on tired legs is perfect for IM. However, running long comes with a higher injury risk than any other session so many cap the run at 2hrs or 2:30.
Some say that the length of recovery from a run of that length also detracts from benefits of the other sessions in the week.
Personally I like to train for and run a marathon in IM build up, so a fan of these length of runs. Interesting due to my knee injury this year I'll be going into IMUK with no runs over 15-16 miles as I lost much run volume and VMLM entry. So, I'll find out myself if the run holds up without the long stuff.

Tro I will be interested to see how it goes. I just don't believe 2hrs is enough distance so yes Argue you are going long and slow

2 hours definitely not enough to get the best run out on the day. I may get away with it, 2 stand alone maras and 3 IMs last year should see that, but whatever the outcome I'll know the run woukd have been quicker with the 2.5-3hr runs done.
