To be fair it’s probably closer to Runeterra than Hearthstone but your more likely to be familiar with the latter, I’d think.

I'm not familiar with either, but I'm at least aware of Hearthstone being A Thing.
Having a frustrating evening trying to polish off the last trophies on Talos. Whilst drinking vodka. It's not going well.

Sorry, Grep - missed your query last turn. 'Inspire' was from the Grand Tournament so early days - it basically meant that an on-board minion would do something every time you used your hero power (e.g. Murloc Knight would summon a random murloc when Inspired). It got discontinued pretty fast as a) it was usually overpowered and b) players spamming their hero power was dull.
Reborn is fine in itself as a mechanic as long as it's not twinned with decent deathrattles: it was too easy to apply Reborns with a spell to Priest and Hunter minions which had good deathrattles the first time around...

PS Like JK with Hearthstone, I know Gwent is A Thing but I've never played. It got a lot of buzz 3-4 years ago but fell off fast: sounded a bit like a hybrid of HS and traditional MtG-type games...

I’ve been playing Gwent a lot the last 48 hours. It’s very ‘serious’ compared to HS. Chess compared to Ker Plunk.
I really want to like Gwent a lot, but it’s so po-faced.

Does inspire work at all with Rogue or Warrior or any of those things that don’t attack with their hero power? Can’t remember.
The current meta lets mage buff their hero power alarmingly. That needs a nerf sharpish.

I'm not in the mood for po-faced. One reason I like HS (and Fortnite, compared to, say, CoD) is how balls-out ridiculous they are.

The more I think about Doogs 6997 the more I like it.
If Hearthstone is Buckaroo/Ker-Plunk/Mousetrap then Gwent is chess. At a serious chess club with no smiling allowed .
