I'll still use it as the social network for runners / riders. Very different to Fetch, and whilst some of their tech stuff is great, I can't see me needing / wanting to pay for the things that are going behind a paywall. Though credit to them for persisting all this time without an ad supported version; done correctly I'd have thought it would have worked acceptably well.

I only ever used it as Facebook for runners (I don't have Facebook).

As I posted on the Fetch Miles thread last night I think all you can do for free on $trava now is add to their database and view activities. That's your lot.

Rr - but is a terrible site for that IMO. I find the social bit to be the worst about it. No private messaging/chat just occasionally comments on runs.

Agreed. But sadly I can't convert many of my running friends to Fetch and if I want to see what they've been up to $trava is the only place to see what they've been up to and comment on. Maybe now more will move over here...

I tried to lure a few club mates from the orange side but it was pointed out strava was free too - just a fortnight ago! I wonder if they will pop over now

It's not comparable. It's like apples and oranges. However my club uses that other site a lot and usage has increased since #lockdown e.g. virtual race series. All the features that have been taken away from the free side don't worry me as I didn't care about them or use them. Just plug my Suunto in and go.

Yes my running club has had a segment of the week. Not relevant to me as I don't live nearby any more, but it was a good idea. It's been a good way of keeping in touch with cycling club mates too.

I am surprised they've changed it overnight with no warning. Seems a bit odd. Are they in desperate need of money?

Newbie here. Signed up for fetcheveryone ages ago but never really use it. I'm on strava just for the ease of runs syncing from my garmin. To be honest find it a bit overwhelming with all the stats. Where should I start? All my runs upload here already.

Hey there Bearded Runner! Welcome (back) to Fetcheveryone.

Did you find the drop down at the bottom to change the site to blue?

It depends what you are looking for, whatever it is there’s probably something on here. There are various training charts and calculators. Also lots of games, which can be motivating. There’s also a route mapping tool.

The blue skin you want is Redmond, by the way.

Thought there might be a need for a welcome mat for any refugees from the orange site.
