Nah all good Garfield. Short shower but other fine fine. 9.2miles with lots of hills taking in much of the box Hill hike route. Just looking for a route for tomorrow now and seems we may have to resort to the car as once again we are an island in a sea of engineering works... Ho hum. |

Oh, that's good! It's since cleared up here now, though hubby did get drizzled upon when he went to Guildford a little while ago. I'm going over there next weekend some time to get some hill practice in for the Lake District in May.

walkhighlands.co.uk Today’s walk. It was lovely and sunny but the wind made it quite chilly. |

Blackdown indeed. Ive realised its in Sussex though. Wow what a wonderful walk that was. Tromping 800m uphill through a steam/mud bath to reach the base of Blackdown followed by another 500m to reach the top. Barely a soul in sight. Glorious. Where is white peak Lizzie? So next Saturday we start our 5 day walk Eastbourne to Portsmouth. Weather looks amazing. Eeek. Nice week DT. |

Peak District National Park - The world’s second most visited (and quite possibly the best imho) The park is split into the northern Dark Peak, named after the peat, which predominates there and the White Peak, named after the limestone there |

Cool. We will probably go up in May/June for one night and two walks up there somewhere. I *really* want to go on the matlock cable car as we were driving through once and went up to look but it was closing... Is it good?
