There is an alcohol free taste on some 0.0% beers. Can’t fully describe it but it is like the difference between Coke and Diet Coke

I agree some 0.5 and 0.0 beers have a nasty, watery, but slightly chemically taste. But I don't think it correlates either. I've had quite a few 0.0% that have been really nice. G

I've had a recent mixed case order from Drop Bear. Their bonfire stout was great. The other 3 were 3/5.
Also got some from drynkz unlimited and they were below par.
Erdinger and Brooklyn Special Effects are my supermarket favourites with Ghost Ship 0.5 and Shipyard not too far behind.

Agree the 0% leffe is very good and Brooklyn SE one of my favs. The lager by Big Drop was horrid, tasted like cardboard (sorry can't remember if commented on that before). Recently tried:
Shipyard 0.5% (claims to be american but brewed by Marstons) 4/5 Birra Moretti 0% 2/5 a bit sweet, tbf the alcoholic version is a bit odd Hawkshead Lighter Times Pale Ale 0.5% 3.5/5 thin bodied, teeny bit cardboardy but good flavour overall M&S Low alc Southwold Pale Ale 0.5% (Brewed by Adnams) 4/5

Not beer but Martini Vibrante Non-Alcoholic Vermouth is rather nice with tonic.

Lucky Saint Low Alcohol Unfiltered Lager 0.5% 3.5/5 I like the Small Beer range too but some of them go up to 2.6%, so not really low alc. The dark lager is 1%.

Birra Moretti Zero tonight, perfectly pleasant. Stocked up at Tesco on a few favourites at the weekend with the intent of trying to avoid opening bottles of wine during the week!
