I’ve also almost been timed out and then promptly passed out so have stopped donating for now (they also always struggle to find a good vein.) So respect to donors.

Your donation still counts if too slow ITG. I had that a few donations ago as needle wasn’t in right. I also still took my biscuit 😁

That’s odd Caz. Definitely wouldn’t run after giving blood. Was a good 4 hours after I ran that I had appointment. Have ran before previous donations. Lady said today that run would have helped circulation.

I used to give blood but then when son was born getting on for 20 years ago I got given some back so no more donating for me.

Back from holiday. It was a lovely holiday, but I caught a cold (or something) towards thge end of it, and am still feeling completely drained of energy.

Also made the unwelcome discovery that I have apparently 'forgotten' how to swim. I actually haven't swum since quite well before the pandemic, but there was a pool there, so in I went... and floundered, and felt panicky. Tried again the next day, same thing.

Welcome home Columba, but I'm sorry to hear about your swimming. If you've a pool somewhere nearby it might be worth looking for a swim instructor who can offer a one-off session to get your confidence back?

I had a lovely dip in the sea this afternoon. Absolutely perfect conditions.
