Columba, we aren't worried about the X but are planning to visit Zudapark (spelling maybe a bit dodgy) in the Netherlands. We have plans for U and V this year too, so that'll be us finished. Although Sal said today she wants to do a double alphabet, I've got lots that I've done several of especially S which I've done 10 different ones |

*waves* to Wezza You are all pretty amazing, you know Me, not so much. I was banking on BBC weather being correct and we'd have a humidity clearing thundery shower mid afternoon so put off my run. Then they changed the forecast on the app and we're still in sweaty weather so I went out anyway, foolishly thinking it would be nice to go up the hill as I've not been up there for ages. Of course it was far, far too hot for a steep climb so I decided a brisk walk was the best I could manage. It all goes towards Fetcheveryone day but wasn't what I hoped for. |

LittleDonkeyDaisyThe best-laid plans of mice and men gang aft a-gley I didn't parkrun yesterday (if I had, I wouldn't have been able to contribute any running miles to Fetch's 'everyone' day, as nowadays I need at least 2 days recovery between runs). Instead, I volunteered, - my first experience of parkrun volunteering; I was marshalling with another whom I already know. Really interesting to see everyone go through (instead of just being lapped by the faster ones, and then seeing only a couple of people ahead of me for the third and last lap), - from small children scampering along and jumping over the cones warning of potholes, to parents tearing along with buggies, little dogs whose legs were a blur, front runners who just flew by, and the tail walker who is the husband of the marshal I was marshalling with. Early this morning I contributed 2 miles to the 'Everyone' page. And I mean early; it was before 7, and on an empty stomach which left me feeling a bit wobbly. And behold, a badge. |
