Morning. Hope Billy's not too sore today. Waiting for OH to get back from delivering one of his bilkes to the LBS before I go out for my C25K run. I've had a text to say my new passport will be delivered by 8pm tonight and there needs to be someone in to take delivery. Might be nice if they gave us a bit more of a clue time-wise but given that I only applied last Wednesday I should be grateful that I'm not left waiting for it for weeks and weeks.

Wk 2 Run 1 done. I must say run-walking a couple of miles a day is much more fun than slogging out a 'I mustn't stop to walk' longer run đ¤Ł

Don't tell anyone but I have been for a run - felt very strange at first but soon got back into it đ only 1 mile bit bow to gently build on it

Yay MM, now that really makes me smile. LD I was wondering if c25k is what I should do. I was in the shower this morning contemplating my life and especially my training and realised I need to take stock, shake it up a bit and do the things that make me happy again⌠|

That's the thing with the C25k, LG - the requirements of each session are well within my (and your) capabilities so there's no pressure. I know there shouldn't feel as if there's pressure on a 'general run' but that's the way it had got with me. And although it's only half an hour, I feel as if I've done something worthwhile.

I do think itâs the pressure thatâs getting to me. I really want to do the Sheepy shuffle and also some of my friends are doing a HM this weekend in support of a friend who is suffering a cancer but beating myself up is doing my anxiety no good. Sick before I even got to work this morning. Donât get me wrong itâs not just my running to blame but itâs not helping.

That is what I loved about c25k. I concentrated on running half mile rather than plodding 3

Did your passport arrive LD? When my niece applied for hers, it arrived within a week and just came in the post. C25k is a great way to build back up again, which was my original plan, then I became a bit more impatient. Merrymoo I really think that it's what would be better for you after being out of it for so long, much better to re-train your running muscles again. |

Yes, AR, my passport arrived via TNT courier today - just popped through the letterbox while I was expecting to have it handed to me! 6 days from applying online to receipt which is about as good as it could get, really. The new expiry date is September 2032 which sounds a lot further away than just 10 years! |
