Day 1 week 1 marathon training plan✅️ Don't promise to keep it going for 16 weeks, mind. For such a short and slow run it should have felt easier. However, I don't think I can blame covid, much more likely to be the excess lardage I'm carrying Stepped on the scales for the first time in a while this morning. Not a pretty sight |

Morning all (just). Stand up paddleboarding for me and C first thing this morning, here: lagosportugalguide.com It was much, much harder than when I did it on a nice still lake with Linds et al. The ocean was very wavy and we weren’t able to go through the arches of the cliffs like they usually do as there was too great a risk of us being blown into the rocks. Out of a group of 12 only the two instructors and 2 of the group were standing up for the majority of the time. I managed it for about 3 minutes in total and knelt for the rest. The others were split between kneeling and sitting. Still great fun though (although I’m not sure C was quite as keen). |

That looks amazing Paula but yes the sea is a different ball game than the lake. Only have a pool where we are and don't think they would be impressed if I took my board in there 😂 |

Two and three-quarters miles with the running club's "gentle" group, going round and round the lake. Our "leader" didn't come, having a cold. But Bruv had a day off (unusual for him to have Tuesday off) so he came too. It was rather warm. No SUP-ers on the lake (sometimes there are). Good luck with the marathon training and the weight loss, Daisy. |
