Fragile Do Not Bend Jun 2021 12:29pm, 6 Jun 2021 8,485 posts	0 Fragile Do Not Bend 10k race today, first proper race of the year. Vey warm and hilly. I’m so glad I took water as there was no water station on the course (which I did know about, but only after I’d entered), but I was a bit annoyed they weren’t giving out any water at the end, which they hadn’t said anything about. Especially as there was also no bag drop so you couldn’t have your own bottle handy. Covid was the excuse, which I think is rather poor as I marshalled at a race (different organisers) back in April that had plenty of bottled water available. Thankfully there was a coffee van who were also selling cold drinks, they had been doing a roaring trade not surprisingly.

ITG - it wasn't even an old person. The guy was probably younger than me. It was a narrow alley so I asked if I could squeeze through. He muttered under his breath, but when I asked what he said he said "doesn't matter". So I ran on and he shouted "I run every day and I never....(couldn't make that bit out)... just go round people for god's sake". My sense of injustice kicked in and I said "it's a narrow alley and in these times of COVID some people don't like being passed that close. I was thinking of your welfare" then I ran off. Grrrr
