Morning. My husband has had a bad cold for the last couple of days, I really hope I’m not brewing the virus as I’m going on my long run later and it might not end well if I am.

I don’t feel 100% this morning but I’m trying to convince myself that it’s just due to a disturbed night because my husband had a restless night and he was radiating heat like a furnace. Also I think I forgot to take my antihistamine last night.

My missus keeps telling me not to try and run because I have a stupid bloody cold currently.

What does she know, eh?

Everyone knows that I don't need a excuse to not run. :)

Afternoon.
Managed to get to club Handicap run last night despite general lethargy and surprised myself with how well it went, so may be I can still run sort of after all.
Spin at lunchtime today. Am on a 9 day streak by accident :-)

Had a pleasant 90 min run - then a miserable last 10 mins as the temperature dropped and the rain came ...

Start (some of you will understand this pic) in the sun

End in the wet

Useful findings? Waterproof shoes are. My lightweight jacket isn't.

First rebound in 3 weeks. We used weighted gloves and that was pretty hard! Achilles is still grumbly but I’m hoping it’s up for a couple of miles when I go away this weekend

Missed a turn on my run through the back lanes in the South Downs so ended up doing 2 more miles than intended - and yes it was more up!

Rain stayed away until I finished but very wet on the ground.

On the M4 Exeter-bound. We left home in blazing sunshine and 13 degrees. It is now chucking it down and about 6 degrees.

I ran and I am ok so far, but the run did feel a bit more like hard work than usual.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'
