Mornage. Legs tired today after 3 days of back to back running, but was nice to get out properly. Have refound running mojo, especially as DD2 recovered from injury so I have my Lockdown running partner back. The two may be connected I suspect.

Sorry about the chook, Carp. I totally get it, Still miss ours.

Rest day, CStar, from running anyway. Sorry NSC, :-( missing the city, I hope you have suitable weather for making the most of home. I won’t/can’t say staycation but autocorrect saved me the trouble :-) Take care SarahWoo, & don’t be blown away when you go out - actually that applies to everyone, it’s blowing a gale on exposed places

Out early to catch the Vulnerable People's shopping hour. Now home, with coffee. This is one of the blowing-a-gale locations; maybe the whole country's got it. Planning a walk later.

It was blowing a hoolie earlier. It's now more 'gusty'.

Apparently 17mph here. Think I will run later and go for a walk at lunch time.

I ran the 7 miles to our daughters this morning along the seafront. That was a big mistake. The wind must have been gusting to gale force. I got blown to a standstill on more than one occasion. It really was a struggle.

All I wanted to do when I got there was fall asleep on the settee. Unfortunately the grandchildren had other ideas.

Mind you, it was a grand run home later on.

Seven very *very* blustery miles brings me to 400 miles so far for the year :-) Trouble is, because of the updulations an awful lot of my running is actually run-walking ;-) Looking at my training log though, I've already climbed nearly 1200m so far in May alone (plus 1000m walking) and in April I did 1600m ascent running, and 2800m ascent walking. For someone who used to avoid hills that's quite pleasing :-)

I’ve just received an email from the organisers of the Giants Head Marathon saying that the race is cancelled.

I’m not surprised, but on the other hand, I am disappointed. I was looking forward to running in this event. I’ve never run it before, but I’ve never read a bad blog about it. Oh well 😔, such is life.
