I really cannot summon any enthusiasm for running at the moment. I'm sure it will come back at some point so I'm not beating myself up. The rain is only adding to my CBA-ness. I don't know if I want Brighton Marathon to go ahead in September or not at the moment - if it does at least it will make me get up and start training again (schedule would kick in on 16 May) but do I want to start training ...? In two minds, all the time.

Which one was it, Moo? ;) Hopefully it won't be long until you can get out on that bike of yours x
I'm motivated by the GSR but I suspect when/if it is cancelled, I might struggle.

One of the good things about being Chair of a running club in these times is that I feel duty-bound to join in with the various challenges members are coming up with. And to be fair, I have really benefited from them, so I'm glad to have been 'made' to.

The latest one is a bingo card with all sorts of random challenges, some running, some home-based fitness ones. Tomorrow I'm going for either some strava art or 'A view with a view' - you take a photo of where you're going to run to then take a photo back to where you started from when you get there. I think you need a fairly hilly area to make that one work!

Afternoon gonks. Hugs all round. Safe ones, obvs.

I was up late doing print things and working out numbers for the virtual running race. 55! I was hoping for 20. Not the best nights sleep as mind was going cuckoo but I've just had a walk to the post office to post some print orders and feel good for being out. Lunch now, then I'll run at teatime - aiming for 4-5 miles to kick-start the new month.

LD, I'm so impressed by the activity of your club, led by you. I'm very disappointed by mine. I'm sure if I was on FB then I would see more, but really it's just underlined that it's not the club for me and I need to find a new one after this is over.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
