I think McG was pointing out that there is actually a public footpath across the grounds at Harrow School.

I find it a bit weird seeing all the people using "my" country lanes and footpaths at the moment, I'm sure they'll stop as soon as the weather gets back to normal.

Blackheath was good for running on Sunday but I decided not to venture into Greenwich Park which I suspected would be much busier.

The Forest area between Fleecy and me has banned all cycling and closed its car parks, so other than a few rebel cyclists, while it is busy round the edges, it is actually much quieter than normal as it is only being used by those who can walk there. Selfishly I prefer this.

Agree AR. I pretty much never see walkers, maybe the very very occasional runner and a few cyclists on the country lanes round here. Today, on one of the quietest routes I run, I saw 6 (3 x 2) walkers, one runner and several cyclists. I like it because it's nice seeing people out, but it's frustrating when people don't adopt single file.

Yes McG. I don’t need to drive even as far as that, the whole area stretches to within about 2 miles of me and I can park somewhere residential. Might get very, very lost mind you but there will be hills! There is lots of military land within a 5-10 minute drive of here which will be much quieter than the river or canal, it’s a boring slog getting there on foot though since I’m not up to decent mileage right now.

Skipping kitchen rebound tonight as I’ve got a stinking headache. I did manage yoga earlier with FM though, I just overheard ds2 complaining that I woke him up with our laughing. Sweet revenge!

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
