I work on the theory of minimising risk of spread between locations (try and stay local) and minimising people seen and items touched. Would a bike ride help Linds? I know you’re not as keen on cycling but it would get you somewhere different

Thanks for the suggestion. I can't think of anywhere I can cycle to that appeals. A lot of my exercise involves the canal and the paths are just too narrow. Perhaps I have to get up early or go late.

Yes, Louiseruns did tell me about a golf course that's about two miles away. I'll try that. Makes for a longer run than I'm really up for at the moment, but I guess I could r/w it.

I used to run round Wormwood scrubs :-) if I was lucky police cars would drive slowly round it picking up my faltering steps in the gathering gloom. You could cycle to and round there and feel much better about almost every other place :-)

Warm up walk of a mile, then jog, and a cool-down mile or two home Linds?

Aren't you in or near Harrow? They can't be using the school grounds can they? Run around their rugby and quidditch pitches, maybe.

I'll be running after work some days as it gets lighter in the evenings. After all, I'll only be out of the house once.

(((Phil and family))) I've been thinking about you a lot xx

Hope your day improves, Linds. I am very glad not to be in a city right now. We had a tiny 3 bed flat in Genova with no sitting room or balcony and an au pair. We would have gone bananas if we had all been cooped up there.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
