Walking played a crucial part in my recent return to running. :)

My boundaries between running and walking are blurred at the best of times, but right now even more so. There are photos to take, other people to wait for, to give space, views to enjoy. I should find some hills sometime though so I don’t actually forget how to run :)

I can't remember the last time I ran anywhere without a little bit of walking.

I started adding a walk and a wiggle and stretch to the start of most of my runs and it helps so much. I also try to walk half a mile afterwards. I log both the warm up and warm down as part of my running mileage as it's so important to my running.

GF came back from her run yesterday with bashed knees and hands. She'd tripped over a fat sausage dog. She wasn't badly hurt and carried on afterwards (was 3 miles into a 7 mile run). Must admit dogs are a bit annoying, I'm not a fan when I'm running.

(()) to all those whose running isn't what they'd want it to be at the moment.

Did my standard lockdown 3.4 miler tonight. Apart from tripping over crossing the dried up ditch (no consequences) was an enjoyable run in the evening sunshine. Just looking at the data (I'm a mathematician! ) and noticed that having switched to this from aborted marathon training, the first four times I did this route my Ave hr varied between 143 and 146, but the last three times its been 131 to 135. Can't explain why it's dropped so noticeably and consistently.

Lovely evening run along the river. Millions of people out even though I went at sunset when it’s usually empty. Half of me was annoyed at having to duck and dive and the other half was happy to see so many people out enjoying such a beautiful evening

No running today, and very little walking, - just round the corner to the mobile post office van.

I finally kicked my moon out the door after my dinner for a nice walk over the gold links, lots of people out, including numpties with dogs. The sun was a bit dazzling.

I expect the gold links caught that dazzle, AR.
