Lol @ McG.

Provided a lesson for my granddaughters on Big Cats. Their choice of topic. Had to do it by phone video link as neither I nor their mum was able to set up a Zoom meeting (we did try).

I would like to have been one of your pupils, Columba, that sounds interesting. My house is cleaner than it used to be with all this time at home. If I could be sure of solitude I’d probably go out more! But limiting exposure by going early now.

Linds, the senior granddaughter only gets up for poached eggs on toast, too difficult to eat in bed :-) luckily her Dad remembers what he was like, I certainly do

Ds2 was supposed to be finishing term tomorrow and also was supposed to be doing work experience this week. So he’s had pretty much no school work to do, not sure they set him much last week either. Ds1 has finished college and no exams so who knows what he’s doing. I think he would have finished early this week anyway.
Kids are out playing table tennis, they will be so accomplished by the autumn!

um
First (home) bike run of the year - after de-cobwebbing the bike yesterday.
(achilles still a bit grumbly, not sure if a couple of hours walking socially acceptable).

Muy technical skills on trails (hard bumpy and some deep tyre tracks) and loose shale seem a bit rusty, as do the cycling muscles. Unlike running, more time spent staring at the ground in front rather than around and about for deer.

Wildlife count? 1 buzzard, 2 pheasants and some sort of furry tailed rat. Too brown for a squirrel, too short for a stoat/weasel, ??

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
