Thank you Panad for the very kind gift of a huge supply of yeast.

Aw, that's really nice about the long distance bootcamp :-) and the gift of yeast (but does Panad frequent this thread TM?)

Dog walked. The police have now parked a 'public engagement' type van (the sort that goes to country shows etc) in the layby at the bottom of the main path up the hill, which probably explains why there were even fewer people up there today. I do get why they're doing it but I also worry about them losing public support. It's ironic, we hardly ever see even one police officer round here in normal times ;-)

Well they probably have less to do than normal. Fewer traffic accidents to attend, fewer drunk people assaulting each other outside nightclubs (though sadly probably more indoors where nobody sees), fewer burglaries presumably?

Ah LD not sure but I sent an FMail thanks anyway 😊

Lovely 7 and a bit mile run just now. I took advantage of the lockdown and quieter roads to run a lane that's usually far too dangerous due to narrow road, high hedges and no verge to escape traffic. Then crossed through a churchyard and woodland, and back up some other local lanes.

Short break now then PE with Joe (in solidarity with the turtle) , Bath, school run, set up the turtle's ballet lesson on Zoom, and get some batch cooking done. Busy busy but it's my only day off, back in work tomorrow night

Columba
Picked up on George Anderson's Plankathon again.
Run later. I see that some government minister is advising not more than 40 minutes for a walk, or 30 minutes for a run. 30 minutes? I run so slowly, I'd hardly get anywhere in 30 minutes. It would be purely a "run for health", not a "run for pleasure".

Fragile Do Not Bend
Lovely morning, I did my long run this morning instead of yesterday as the wind was just too cold yesterday.

I thought I’d had my best ever mileage month, but I miscalculated and have only equalled it, so I guess I’m going to have to have a little run tomorrow.

Was that Gove or someone else Columba? I think Gove was making it up as he went along in his interview yesterday.

That ^

I think Gove made it up and other people have run with it. I don't think it's 'official'. And if it suddenly becomes 'official' I will lose what little faith I have left in the gvmt.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
