Thing is, a) how on earth is that enforceable and b) how does anyone who sees me run have any idea how long I've been running for??

I had thought about this last week and if the authorities wanted to get really strict I guess Garmin strava etc are all give a ways I do not see this happening to be honest but it had crossed my mind !

A nice 9 miles done. Made up the route as I went along.

I don’t believe much of what Gove says. And you’d have to set the same length of time. Why longer for a walk than a run? Doesn’t make sense.

Ran 10, just remembered that I had a Garmin fail near the start so need to add at least half a mile on.
Didn't want to go home.

Carp, that was pretty much me yesterday. I've not appreciated being out and doing a run as much as that in quite some time.

Same here Carp. Really enjoyed my run today. Steady pace and heart rate, felt relaxed and happy. Could have done with longer but I have had a few "bad" runs lately so didn't plan anything over ambitious!

If anyone sets time limits I may just have to leave the Garmon at home 😂

10C here which is summer for us! I ran a swfit 10k and it was lovely to be in nice soft trainers without spikes.

10 degrees, ITG? It's only 8 here.

Run done, 3 miles, enjoyed it in spite of the persistent cold wind. I note that everyone seems to have enjoyed their runs today, I wonder why?

I don't know if it was Gove or who it was; it was in an emailed "Daily coronavirus update" put out by the Times (free of charge).

I think somebody asked Gove in a q&a and he gave that as an example and qualified it with 'depending on your normal level of activity'. Then it's been taken out of context and posited as "the rule".
