James Dunne on Kinetic Revolution has lots of suggestions SW - if you look on YouTube there are videos where he takes you through the right technique. You only need about three per routine per week. Little and often is better than one longer session.

SW, you just start with 1 or 2 and build very gradually, maybe also start against the wall and get lower until you can do them on the floor.

Sarah, I do Core Club which is run by a former clubmate and soft tissue therapist/physio/ultra runner.

Individual sessions live on Zoom are £5 and on 3 times a week but £23.50 per month and you can do them as catch up videos too.

I need to do them more often. I can always feel my core the day after!

I thought the 12 days of fetchmas was a good plan for a core build but my foot rejected the burpee. I am now doing more strengthening to try and build up to being able to do it, which is where I got to with the press up challenge too. So I will also pin Corrah’s post and see. Calf raises were a straight no six months ago but they are possible now

I refuse to do burpees for the perfectly valid reason that my toes scream if I do. Ditto full proper press-ups with the toes curled under. I do them on my knees with my feet crossed in the air.

*When* I do them? *If* I do them. ;-)

5 horrible heavy fat sluggish km done. Just going through the motions. Even my old neuroma raised its head to say hello. I need new orthotics.

I personally think burpees are awful - I badly damaged my knee doing them during a boxing class years ago. Never again!

Afternoon 😊. Well, just woken up to do the last miles, and it's snowing very heavily!! I love snow, but there's no way I can run in this, and it's probably the only time in my life I am sad about snow. No pavements here, and noone grits the lanes.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
