Happy belated birthday Chris!

Miserable weather here. Forced myself out for 4.50 miles as wont be running tomorrow. Helping out at club time trial race.

Happy birthday for yesterday Chris!
5 mules with S earlier
I wrote miles but my phone correctly interpreted my pace as that of running like a donkey.
Actually do donkeys run faster than me? Bet they do!

A stationary donkey could run faster than me at the moment.

From my NF expertise/experiences DrF, I think all animals run faster than humans (well, me), if they want to.

Deers & ponies obvs, but also cows, pigs and donks. Even sheep (although not wild in the NF)

I did stupidly wind my car window down the other day to take a photo of a stream of passing donks. They know that movement & had heads in the window faster than I could close it, or even get the camera. They also don't believe you if you tell them there's no food.

I think the thesis of human running is that we evolved to outrun animals like donkeys instead of outpace them for short distances

Not sure I fancy donkey roast this weekend :)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
