Happy birthday Groundhog also LG's OH. Hope Fragile's migraine and MM's allergic reaction have calmed down. Daisy - I have two compost bins and appreciate that getting the compost out of them is Very Hard Work. I also have various bags of weeds which are (I hope) compsting down gradually. I add the wood ash from Leonora direct to the compost bins, but should I "weather" it first and if so how? Doogs - sunburn in March! Turtle - 10.75 miles certainly seems a lot to me. I have been gardening. Logged as cross-training. |

Well done for all that wonderful running, everyone! Hope the sunburn isn't too sore, Doogs. I ran 5 miles (furthest since Sept 2017) and went horse riding too. Weary now. |

I just left it in a pile where the bonfire was Columba I'm not sure about the weathering, I just recall hearing someone on Gardeners' Question Time say you shouldn't put 'fresh' ash on the soil, but I've no idea why or even if it's good advice. It's just a phrase that has stuck with me

[Sorry Fleecy That article suggests that 'weathering' is actually not a good idea, as the potassium will have been washed away ] Returning to and - I've just noticed that I have to run 8 miles to get to 6500 miles on Fetch, and I have to cycle 8 miles to get to 1000 miles on Fetch. Guess which milestone I'll reach first |

Really good running by all, it seems. Dipps yes, if the half is a day like today and things work like today, I'll be fine (so, bottle of wine the night before, no lunch, and only a coffee and a non alcoholic cider before setting off then?? Maybe not!). Felt rather sick after getting back, but luckily at the party I took the turtle too, parents were given cans of diet Coke which helped. Coming home to a roast dinner cooked by TP helped even more and I feel human again! New race entries are indeed exciting. And Sigh, that's a great time for a tired-leg 10m. LD I'd guess the answer depends on how your foot it behaving? |

um
Dropped down 2000ft and 20 miles today and was in shorts & tee-shirt (as opposed to yesterday in yaktrax and full sub-zero kit) Exploring box canyons and real 'cowboy' scenery ... (mix between John Wayne backdrops and Clint's High Plains Drifter style scenery). Even some of the drive through 'towns' look like western town fronts - wooden stores, boardwalks etc. Except the advertising and logos are all current. |
