Afternoon, hope a miracle worked for Bint.
I have cancelled my appointment this afternoon so that I can run on Saturday morning with the the help of rock tape - gingers crossed. I have an appointment on Tues instead when my miles are pulled right back.

Bint, how appalling. At least swimming is pain free. Hope chiropractor can identify the problem and solve it. Will 🙏 to St. Sebastian for you.

:-( Bint. Fingers crossed for Magic Mike.

I can confirm that the bit of the Thames Path nr Chiswick is not under water or else I turned into Jesus for my lunchtime run without realising ;-)

The Thames is tidal at Chiswick so it's a different set of considerations.

PaulaMC, what is your race number for Saturday?

I should be at the Devils Dyke by 10:30. If the weather is, uuummmm, interesting, then I'll run over to the second checkpoint at Saddlescombe Farm to shelter from the elements.

I know Pompey Paul is number 237 & Macl is number 306.

.B. I take it you'll be cheering Fetchies on at the Eastbourne end of the run.

I know this is a bit early, but I'm on grandparenting duties tomorrow & on Friday my wife tells me we are out & about, so the best of luck to all those running the South Downs Way 50. I hope it goes well for you & to be honest, I'm envious. Hopefully, next year for me.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
