Daisy - swim 1 hour?? 1 mile?? - astonished at both.

duo - I too am as blind as a bat, and deaf as well, and the hearing aids have to come out in the water. I just swim incommunicado. But not the way Daisy swims.

Been to the vibe cycle class. She seems to work us harder every time. Legs felt quite wobbly when I got home.

(Had some wine to make them wobblier)

why can't you walk, Bint? Did I miss something?
Lovely run yesterday, it was hot though and blimey but it's hilly here. Going to have another run again this morning I think.
You can get prescription goggles, I've often thought about it as I cannot see a thing without my glasses, but in some ways it might be nicer not to see the plasters floating about in the pool :)

I bought some years ago and they were the key to learning to swim for me; finally I could see what the instructor was telling me to do!

Well done swimmers. Prescription goggles are surprisingly cheap off tinternet I used to swim in contact lenses with goggles but that’s bad for the lenses (did LD blog that?) and I was a liability blind I couldn’t reliably find my way to the right changing rooms. Not that I swim much. Certainly not a mile in one go using a decent technique

Morning :)

I have prescription goggles but also swim in lenses, depending on whether I'm wearing my glasses that day.

No I've not swum in contact lenses for decades, but I'm a big fan of my prescription goggles. They were surprisingly cheap and work really well and I wish I'd got them years ago.

Blimey AL our coach is amazed when our track group reaches double figures, you are clearly a very inspirational coach!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
